Made: Alyssa Is Made Into a Comedian

Most high school seniors know what they want to do after graduation. Then there's Alyssa. She's a goofball with no direction. Her grades are crap, but Alyssa wants more for herself than to remain in Minnesota. In class, Alyssa meets her MADE coach Jeff, a motivational speaker and life coach. Jeff assigns Alyssa to try three jobs in her chosen fields. It's a disaster. Her humor is inappropriate for massage therapy. In the coffee shop, she's immature. Finally she works with underprivileged kids on landscaping, but arrives late. Her lateness sets a bad example and ruins the day for the kids. It's time to get serious. Alyssa's work ethic improves but she feels that being a comedic performer would allow her to be herself. Jeff gets her an audition in Chicago - the comedy capital of the world. Her comedy coach Jill has two weeks to prepare Alyssa to try out for a professional comedy troupe, but Alyssa is unfocussed. Jeff threatens to cancel the comedy audition after he learns that Alyssa is failing some classes. With Jeff's help, she improves in school and comedy class. The hard work pays off and Alyssa is told that she will graduate. At the Chicago audition, Alyssa gets overshadowed by more experienced comedians, but gets a call-back to perform in front of a full house. The directors offer her a scholarship to continue training. Alyssa graduates and plans to attend comedy school. She may have been a goofball once, but Alyssa has been MADE into a girl with a goal.
