The Tudors: Season 3

As the country rebels against the break with Catholicism and the creation of a new Church of England, Henry brutally suppresses the uprising, traumatizing his best friend Brandon; Henry remarries to Jane Seymour, who reunites him with his daughters during the holidays and gives birth to a son and heir, but the family's joy is short-lived; new chancellor Thomas Cromwell tries to strengthen England as France and Spain ally with the Pope against the country, but Cromwell's choice of a Protestant bride for Henry is a disastrous one.
