Assault in Paradise

A deadly extortion scheme threatens a resort community. William Whitaker (Stuart Whitman), boss of a very successful resort in Arizona, becomes the target of a deadly extortion scheme which threatens to ruin his business. If a $5million ransom is not paid, the resort community will be in jeopardy. Whitaker calls in New York detective Nick McCormick (Oliver Reed) to help. Meanwhile TV reporter Cindy Summers (Deborah Raffin) latches on to the story. McCormick enlists the aid of an imprisoned drifter (James Mitchum) to help in an intense search for the assassin, Victor, who, after a rampage of killing and twisted by rage, threatens the life of every man, woman and child in the city.
