Dancing with the Stars: The Results (Week 1)

What a difference a night of Dancing makes! After what was surely a nervous night for some of our contestants, everyone was back in the ballroom again for some incredible performances from musical legends Smokey Robinson and Aloe Blacc! To make things even better, the three new pros: Keo Motsepe, Allison Holker and Artem Chigvintsev performed a sizzling routine together. It was set to be another unforgettable night in the ballroom, and especially memorable for one couple as someone faced elimination! • Everything got kicked off to a sizzling start with the lady pros dancing to Fifth Harmony’s hit “Bo$$,” choreographed by none other than Mandy Moore! • Once again, our hosts Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews welcomed us back to the dance floor after an exciting night of performances. How do you follow a night like that? Let’s find out! • Time to find out who’s safe tonight! First up, Antonio Sabato, Jr. and Cheryl Burke are safe! So are Tavis Smiley and Sharna Burgess. Betsey Johnson and Tony Dovolani, however, were in jeopardy after a rocky debut last night with a whole new kind of wardrobe malfunction. It’s not what you think. • Next up was the Judges’ Encore, and how could Carrie Ann Inaba, Len Goodman, Julianne Hough and Bruno Tonioli choose anything but Alfonso Ribeiro and Witney Carson’s stunning Jive from the previous night? It was so nice, we got to see it twice! • Time for some more results! Janel Parrish and Valentin Chmerkovskiy were safe. So were Randy Couture and Karina Smirnoff. But Michael Waltrip and Emma Slater were in jeopardy. • Things got smooth in the ballroom as special guests Smokey Robinson and Aloe Blacc sang the classic “My girl” accompanied by a soulful dance from Mark Ballas and Witney Carson. • It was time to check in on the highest scoring couples from the previous night. Alfonso and Witney were safe. Sadie Robertson and Mark Ballas were also safe, along with Bethany Mota and Derek Hough. Lea Thompson and Artem Chigvintsev were in jeopardy, however. • Next it was time to meet the newest pros on the dance floor: Allison Holker, Keo Motsepe and Artem Chigvintsev. And what better way to get to know some dancers than with a saucy routine? • You fans at home voted on Twitter, so we all got to see some of Derek’s original audition video and let’s just say it was worth the wait. • Tommy Chong and Peta Murgatroyd were safe, along with Jonathan Bennett and Allison Holker, but Lolo Jones and Keo Motsepe were in jeopardy and we were about to find out who was heading home tonight! • This was it, the first elimination of the season on Dancing with the Stars. Who would it be: Betsey and Tony, Michael and Emma, Lea and Artem or Lolo and Keo? Lea and Artem were first up and…safe! So were Michael and Emma! But for Lolo and Keo, the journey was over.
