Vying for entry into the final victory battles of the Hoenn League Championships, Ash must face yet another respected friend. Knowing the stakes full well, both trainers mete out perhaps a more even-matched battle than has even before been witnessed. After their first Pokémon simultaneously knock each other out of battle, subsequent Pokémon continue to match attack for attack, neither side giving any ground.
